I have a host family!!!

I've been picked!!!!!! I'm so relieved that I already have a permanent host family and I won't have to have to be switched around. My host mom's name is Digna, and I have a 10 year old host brother named Juan and a 16 year old host sister named Rosa. My age!! How cool is that? They have two dogs and they're "Evangelical" (protestants?). I'm going to be living in a city called Camayagua, which has a population of 60,000 and used to be the capital. I'm crazy excited. In just under a month I'm going to be living in Honduras!!!!!!

Well...I'm going to Honduras

I've been officially accepted by AFS Honduras, which means in one month from today, I'll be leaving to spend four and a half months in central america. Eeeee!!! I've been looking forward to this since elementary school. It also means that I've been off school since early December (community college schedules ftw) and will be off until my departure, since there's no sense in taking half a quarter. It's like I get an extra summer! Pretty fantastico.
AFS still hasn't told me who my host family is and where, exactly, I'll be living. Nobody's picked me! They told me I might not find out until after I arrive in Honduras, and even after that they might place me with a welcome family for a month while they hunt for someone willing to keep me. WHAT!!!! Being a chronic overplanner, this is giving me grief. I've been obsessively checking my AFS info page five times a day. I'm dying to know if I'll be in the city, if I'll have host sibs my age, if I'll be in public or private school. It's not that I'm particularly stressed about any of these details, I just want to know! I'm so excited!
